Wing Chun Kung Fu (Ving Tsun)

A Brief History of Wing Chun Kung Fu

Wing Chun, sometimes called Ving Tsun Kuen Hok, is a Chinese martial art system of close-quarter combative strategies and applications developed over the last several centuries in mainland China in Guangdong Province, specifically the Foshan region.

There have been many interpretations of where and how the system came to be. Still, the most important lesson from the more common and popular telling is to recognize that this system is designed directly with our human body in mind. Unlike other Chinese Kung Fu systems, no animal is associated beyond legend. All forms, Tou Lou, are purely based upon your body’s naturally occurring structures and frame. The Wing Chun system optimizes your health and combative capabilities through simple, direct, and efficient movement, regardless of age, height, weight, or strength.
